Nothing captures childhood quite like a bowl of Fruity Pebbles or Cinnamon Toast Crunch! This week, I’m joined by my longtime friend Gary for another episode of Bite-Sized Chats all about breakfast snacks of the late 90s and early 2000s. From toaster pastries to sugar-loaded cereals, we’re revisiting the breakfast hits of our childhood. And if you get “I can’t get enough of that sugar criisp, sugar criisp, sugar criisp” out of your head after this, I am so sorry and know you are not alone. 💖
Week Two Baking Challenge: Let’s Get This Bread!
Cacio e Pepe Focaccia by Shilpa Uskokovic
from Bon Appetit
This week’s challenge was to bake a loaf of bread. I contemplated trying something new, but ultimately I stuck with my tried-and-true favorite: focaccia, but with a cacio e pepe twist! I started with my go-to Bon Appetit, no-knead focaccia recipe and topped it with an absurd amount of pecorino and cracked black pepper.
A Better Pop-Tart
As much as I love Pop-Tarts, I think we can admit that they taste pretty (say it with me) bad. To eat one is simply nostalgia for nostalgia's sake. Mine, however, do not taste bad. Mine taste amazing. This can be customized with any jam, preserve, or chocolatey spread that speaks to you. (And if you're feeling less ambitious, store-bought pie dough works just as well. No judgment here!) Download my recipe below!

Thanks for reading, sweeties! 🍎
